BALASANA

What is Balasana

We have observed that when a small child is tired, he or she often sits in Balasana, a relaxation pose in yoga. The word “bala” means child, and it is derived from Sanskrit. In the morning, many people experience pain after waking up from bed, but if they practice Balasana early in the day, they can alleviate their back pain in just a few seconds and begin to feel relaxed. In English, this pose is referred to as Child Pose
