HOW TO PRACTICE TARATAKA
What is Tratak Kriya ?
Tratak is the eyes exercise which provide strength to eyes muscles and improve eyes sight.
We can say it is eyes cleansing practice which can be practice by every one if practitioner don’t have eyes problems.
How to perform Trataka Kriya?
Before to start trataka, practitioner must perform few eyes exercise like blink your eyes 10 times. Eye rolling left to right and right to left. Watch up and downward. Tratak directly deal with the mind. Trataka can be performed by any object may be with sun and moon also.
Practice of tratak:-
- Burn the candle or mark a sign to watch continuously. Place it 2 feet away from you.
- Light must be low inside the room.
- Sit in any relaxed position or Vajrasana.
- Watch the brightest part of flame in the beginning.
- Don’t blink your eyes.
- If tears start rolling or you feel difficult to watch the flame then stop practice,
it’s called Bahiranga Trataka.
- If the tear rolling then close your eyes for a minute.
and meditation on the Agya chakra or you can see the image of the flame to close the eyes than it’s called Antar trataka.
- This image will disappear after a while and added in your brain.
- After a week practice start watching circle of the flame.

Trataka Types: –
Trataka has three types,
- Bahiranga Trataka (External Trataka) When tears start rolling don’t close the eyes.
- Antar Trataka (Inner Tarataka) “watch the image to close eyes after trataka.
- Adho Trataka (Half eyes open during practice and half ‘ll be closed).
